Easy Fundraising and Great T-Shirt Design

This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Teespring.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Want to create a T-shirt to raise funds for a cause, group, organization, or ministry?

Have you ever designed shirts and ended up over-ordering and completely wasting money?  Yeah, me too.  We had to eat the cost of all those extra shirts.

If you want to raise funds for a project, you have the hassle of precise ordering, collecting money, dispersing shirts, and if you order online, you may end up with a poor quality shirt.

Teespring has a solution that is nothing short of genius.

Teespring uses crowdfunding to enable you to design shirts let your buyers pre-order their shirts individually.
You can easily design a shirt on their website, share it on social media platforms, and then use the profit for your cause.   You choose your ship date and pay no money up front.  This means that you take no risk and don't have the hassle of ordering the right number of shirts.

And now we're all saying "Why didn't I think of that?!?"

On their site, you can easily design a shirt for your project by using their graphics or uploading your own.  I found their t-shirt design page to be super easy and instinctive to use.

I played around with the idea of making shirts for our Friendship to Freezer ministry at church.  In this ministry, the women of our church get together and make a ton of meals to stock our church's freezer.  Then when we hear of a need, such as a death in the family or a new baby, we have meals ready to bring to the family.  If we made shirts, we could use the profits to pay for the groceries to make meals.

I was happy to see that while you can upload your own graphics, those of us who are graphically challenged like me can still create smart looking shirts with Teespring's cute fonts and trendy images.  As I added elements and colors, I could see how the various additions affected the price.  You can keep the price as low as you want so that you can still keep the price reasonable and your profit margin as high as possible.  In fact, I could create snazzy shirts for less than $10, set a low price of $15, leaving room for a nice profit margin.

My brother recently went to Africa on a mission trip and his group used t-shirts, among other things, to raise money for their trip.  I live 5 hours away but wanted a shirt, so I had to mail a check and then wait to get my shirt when family visited.  Had his group known about Teespring, I would've ordered a shirt online and had it shipped right to my door at no extra cost to him.  Much easier!

One smart family used shirts to raise funds for adoption. Another group made awesome shirts for Boston after the marathon bombing to help those directly affected by the tragedy.  Both groups reached their fundraising goals.

Between mission trips like my brother's and other ministries I'm involved with, I can think of so many ways to use a website like Teespring.  It's ridiculously clever but still easy to use.  It just doesn't get any better than that!

You can follow Teespring on Facebook and Twitter and start designing your shirt today with their handy design page.  If you want more details, you can watch this video on how Teespring works.

What group would you design a shirt for using Teespring?
