Update on the Free Breast Pump

It's here!!  My free to me, paid-for-by-insurance breast pump arrived on Thursday, just one week and a day after I ordered it from Edgepark.  Check it out.

My new Medela pump.

Tons of accessories:  4 bottles, flanges in 2 different sizes, and plenty more goodies.

It may look like a Plain Jane, no frills breast pump, but the retail price of this thing is $365.  No kidding!

It really reminds me a lot of the one I currently have, which is about 8 or 9 years old.  My old Medela was handed down to me by my sister-in-law (you can easily sterilize the parts that come in contact with breastmilk).  It has done its fair share of pumping and will die any day now.  I am thrilled to have a new one and I know that this Medela will be a work horse of a breast pump.

To find out if you can get one too, call Edgepark and give them your insurance information.  They'll handle the rest.

Thanks, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina!  I'm glad to see something good come out of my increasing insurance premiums.

If you missed it, here's how I obtained my free breast pump.

  1. I have the same breastpump! It is not as attractive as the Medela Pump in Style Advanced options in the stores- but it gets the job done. I have been exclusively breast feeding my baby for 8 months now. Good luck!
