An Easter Surprise

Here's a clever way to bless someone you know.  We had a fun little Easter surprise yesterday, a true blessing from some friends of ours.  We were eating lunch when I received a bit of a warning text message that I actually didn't see until much later.  My friend was in our front yard and we were not to come outside, under any circumstances.

Then I got another text, which gave instructions:

"A special visitor has come to your house to share the good news of Easter.  Jesus is alive and the tomb is empty.  There are 12 eggs in your yard.  The 13th egg is the most special.  It is in the mail box, to be opened after you find the eggs."

We put shoes on and went outside to find our surprise.

I found one!

Big sister thinks she's getting all the eggs, but now that I know how this works, I'm going to make sure I get my fair share!

Skittles!  My favorite candy and peanut free too!

We know how to share...sometimes.

Happy as always.

The Golden Egg

Isabelle shouted: "It's empty!  The tomb is empty!  Jesus is alive!  Jesus is alive!"

My kids jumped up and down on the front porch, shouting out the good news.  As we cleaned up our eggs and candy treats, Andrew, my two year old picked up the egg and began shouting too: "tee!!  lie!!"  (empty!  Alive!").

Thanks, sweet friend, for blessing us with this Easter surprise.
